We ship BuckitUp assembled in custom enclosure with the 5000mAh/18Wh battery-UPS by PiSugar. Therefore it can remain operational during power cuts and be used as a portable device.

The battery module provides both microUSB and USB-C connectors for power supply, which charges the battery as well.

When powering from the battery charger, or the battery alone - turn on the device by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds, the charging indicator will signal through one progress cycle before turning on.

The red light from the back of the device is signaling that it is running.

On the opposite side of the assembly also the native USB-C plug of the Raspberry Pi is available, when power supply is connected from the Raspberry side it will instantly power up the device. When powered this way no battery is involved, thus no UPS, and the power button has no effect.

We recommend using the original Raspberry Pi power adapter, although some other power adapters has been tested successfully.
