Press log out button in the top right corner.

There are 3 log out options:

1. Download the Keys

   If you download the keys, you will be able to log in back again. Your encrypted key file is stored on your phone.

   Make sure to come up with the strong password of at list 12 characters.

   We do not recommend downloading the keyring unencrypted.

2. Share the Key

   If you share the key, your keys are getting split into any amount of parts, and sent to your friends’ accounts who also use BuckitUp. Your friends will be able to help you recover your login if you entirely lost access to it. You can share your keys between an arbitrary number of friends, but you will need to get back at least any 4 parts of of it, in order to restore the account.

3. Log Out without the Keys

   If you choose to log out without the keys, you will lose the account. Next time you log in, new account and new keys will be created.

When logged out, all the secret keys are erased from the client browser, and no trace of your BuckitUp interaction is left on the client device (accept the the backup file, if any).

It is recommended to keep the key’s backups separate from the client devices, and offline.
